Wow - what a win. Modo, Gary Neville and others want to shift all the focus on Arsenal for being so poor. Ok - they weren't great but we absolutely destroyed them from the get go. They're a fragile team confidence wise when they come up here - and they weren't given any chance. That was a dominant performance where 6/7-0 would have been a more accurate scoreline.

Karius - 5 - Lost a point for he poor kicking. That shit has got to stop if something has happened to Ming.

Gomez - 7 - Looked far far better on the ball than against Palace. Defensively - I don't remember anything too worrying, and he was very good on the ball.

Moreno - 6 - 1 or 2 brain farts, as usual, but nothing too calamitous.

Lovren - 7 - stupid yellow, but solid performance.

Matip - 7.5 - the pick of the CBs. Solid, no nonsense defending.

Hendo - 7 - as with Hoffenheim, he's starting to get back to himself fitness wise. Good passing, good harassing and should have scored a goal.

Can - 8 - SIGN THE KID TO A NEW CONTRACT PLEASE.

Gini - 7.5 - At times, too much time on the ball but in these kind of games, he's a fucking king.

Mane - 8 - great goal, and as usual, a player teams are fucking petrified of.

Firmino - 8 - makes the team tick. Work rate, class, goals, assists ... Loves tapping that Arse. ;)

Salah - 8.5 - MOtM. Salah doesn't seem to be the greatest player, wasteful & a tad bit lazy at times ... but his speed and instincts around the box create opportunity after opportunity ... I mean, he could have had 5 goals already this season easily with the chances he's had ... A goalscorer? whoop dee doo ...

Great way to go into the int'l break. With Cuntinho back, let's destroy City.

Ratings:

Karius 4 - erratic, nervous and calamitous. Three things I hate in a keeper. Bonus point for not putting the ball into his own net.

Moreno 7 - Seemed a bit more disciplined. No big mistakes and defended well.

Matip 8 - Immense. No Arsenal player could get by him.

Lovren 7 - Good game.

Gomez 8 - must have been his best game for us. Successful blocks and tackles in vital situations. Great assist.

Henderson 7 - Ran his legs off in midfield. Nice interceptions and good anticipation. He's looking very good now.

Wijnaldum 8 - No assists, but wow how he controlled the midfield. In any other game he could have been MOM.

Can 9 - Wow. He's just a fucking tank.

Firmino 9 - He's so important in attack. Runs all over the pitch it seems, great passes, great link up play also an assist and a goal what more can you ask for?

Mané 9 - Constant threat. Great solo goal.

Salah 9 - ditto. Nice assist for Sturridge as well.

Subs:

Sturridge 7 - Well taken goal. Not much else.

I should give gomez an 8 - that block on Ramsey's shot late in the 1st half was so important ... props to him. Modo's right - a fantastic game. Clyne is now looking at a 3 way battle for time ... Fantastic.

Karius - 6 - I assume an offer's come in for Ming.

Gomez - 6 - When you're working your way back into form, have the discipline not to hang on to opponents. He wasn't bad today but he needs to really up his concentration levels.

Moreno - 4 - This guy could make weird microscopic things itching your armpit seem like good players. He's a fecking idiot.

Lovren - 6 - Not bad.

Matip - 7 - steady.

Hendo - 8 - Really impressive for me today. He works his socks off but he also sees great long balls, really incisive game-changing passes, and he also battles like mad for his team mates.

Can - 8 - Another excellent display.

Gini - 8 - Reminds me a bit, really weirdly, of Peter Cormack from the 1970s - Keegan adored him, the Kop tended to abuse him. Both did the simple and correct things effectively.

Mane - 9 - What a clever player he is. Brilliant.

Firmino - 9 - This guy probably won't be appreciated outside LFC but he's a hell of a player.

Salah - 8 - another very promising performance.

Karius - minus 3 - I've given him zero coz he had fuck all to do and was shit at that, and a minus point for every chance he tried to gift Arsenal. Worst goalkeeping perfomance possible while keeping a clean sheet. Fuck off and die.

Gomez - 8 - Was genuinely shitting myself when I saw we'd left TAA out. Not that I don't rate Gomez, but TAA has been so good getting our attacks moving and with quick feet etc. But then Joe pops up with a great cross for the first goal, and apart from getting booked for tripping Ramsey did nothing else wrong. Great last ditch challenge to stop Arse getting back into it at 2-0.

Moreno - 5. Not as shit as normal.

Lovren - 6 - It's hard to say innit. Arsenal were that crap.

Matip - 6 - It's hard to say innit. Arsenal were that crap.

Hendo - 4. What the fuck was that first half? Jesus fucking christ.

Can - 9 - Having a great season.

Gini - 8 - Best I've seen him play.

Mane - 9 - Our most able and most consistent player.

Firmino - 9 - It used to frustrate that he wandered round with a big grin on his grid all match, now I think it's boss.

Salah - 9.1 - Dirk Kuyt on Steroids and meth. MOTM.

Also... who would you drop for Coutinho right now? I'm not saying sell him at all, we need the squad depth and it's brilliant that we can have that forward line with Studge, Solanke and Phil on the bench. But seriously, he'd be dropped against Citeh.

As for Arsenal... I can't really see what they're trying to do. Imagine knowing how terrible we are defensively and then starting with Danny Welbeck and a half fit uninterested Sanchez, leaving Giroud and Lacazette on the bench. Wenker has lost it. Doubt they'll be troubling top four this season.

Roberto Firmino is just so fucking good and so important to us.

Im actually less worried about losing Coutinho as I am about us not winning the league this year, because if we dont Mane and Firmino will be impossible to hang on to.

Need to be sorting new deals for them asap.

One thing is... I reckon if Coutinho leaves this week, he'll end up at a shit Barca under a lot of pressure and he'll end up pissed off. So he could act as a cautionary tale to the rest. Grass ain't always greener etc.

I'm kinda resigned to losing Mane. If he keeps improving he's gonna be up there with Suarez soon. Frim, I dunno. I really get the feeling he loves it here.

Wonderful game. Arsene har not learned anything from TSG, and the main worries are that other managers will play 6 in defence to shut all potential rooms.

Karius did ok. Don't know why he has the arrogance of Oliver Kahn but he won his crosses.

Defence were brilliant. Didn't give away anything to a team that normally scores plenty.

Midfield worked hard and closed down a lot off play. Also helped us attack. Impressed.

Attack. What to say. Teams are getting shit scared of these guys.

Klopp!! I start to see why he is calm over transfers. He can and will work with what he got and he is not getting the appreciation he deserves

  • Liverpool have kept four clean sheets in a row at Anfield in the Premier League for the first time since September 2013.
  • Liverpool's third goal (Mohamed Salah) came only 12 seconds after Arsenal took a corner.
  • Roberto Firmino has scored four goals in five Premier League games against Arsenal - more than against any other opponents in the competition.
  • Firmino has scored and assisted in a game on eight occasions since his Premier League debut in August 2015; no player has done so more often than him in this period (Costa & Lukaku also on eight).
  • Sadio Mane is only the third player to score in the first three Premier League games of a season for Liverpool (after Robbie Fowler in 1994-95 & Daniel Sturridge in 2013-14).

I think we've knocked about 50m off Coutinho's value in the last three weeks

Fucking amazing performance, klopp set us up perfectly, they might have been shite but we made them look shite. Arsene must hate playing us these days.

Yeah bored of hearing how shite Arsenal were. We made them look rubbish by being in their face as soon as they got the ball. Every outfield player was really good, even that plank Moreno (apart from his brain fart in the first half when he dived into a tackle in out box).

The midfield 3 were great - can't believe Henderson is getting a bit of stick - he was the weakest of the 3 with some wayward passing but broke their attacks up brilliantly.

Nothing much to say about the front 3 apart from wow - the pace of Salah and Mane is scary.

Karius though - he's fucking muck - no worse or better than Mignolet and while our defence at times are woeful I truly believe a lot of it is because they have no confidence in the clowns behind them. I'd go all out for Butland.

I just hope we get some additions in before the window shuts as I think we could really make a challenge for the title with a top notch centre half.

Boss game, boss atmosphere in the ground.

Great win, I was very confident pre game but didn't expect Arsenal to be that poor.

Doesn't really change the fact we still need a new GK, LB and CB to challenge.

Still 2nd in the league and in the CL group stages, happy days

Salah is class. Where are all the 'Salah is shite' merchants today then? Yup, he misses chances, but he makes us much more dangerous than we are when we only have Mane to provide pace.
Who said he was shite?
