We couldn't ask for a better draw really. (Only if 2nd leg of Atalanta was at home) but the route to final is clear.
What a great draw for us in both competitions!
Ok. So if Arse lose on pens, I wonder if it would be a bigger effect to their confidence, than them winning and having more games to play (physically).
Especially with the City game up next for them (plenty of time to stew).
More minutes in the legs of their players playing in the international break still.
And who knows, Saliba could pull up in 15mins. Not that, i'd wish bad on anyone...
Perfect scenario. Fully rooting for Arsenal to grind it out. Just hope it's not a last min winner in ET. If anything, let them score 1 in the first half of ET and hold on for dear life.
Looking at the sides and the players we had available, a great result.
Having watched the game. Disappointing. We really had them on the ropes today. Diaz and Nunez didn't kill them when we had the chance.
I have no knowledge of when he's back, only that the press conference Jurgen gave didn't rule him out for the season and he didn't come across as devastated.
Chelsea was start of season, we were not settled then.
City was a fantastic point. We needed everyone in that game and a bit of luck to get a 1-1.
Luton, Darwin had all the big chances and blew them.
Arsenal is a fair point but I don't think we ever got enough control of the game in the...
Jota.
Our firepower is going to help win us titles.
The ability to bring off 2 big guns and bring on Gakpo and another shooter in Darwin/Jota/Diaz is what will overwhelm the majority of teams.
Right now, we don't have that option off the bench.
The international break has come at a good time...
We really needed Diaz and Gakpo to step up today.
They've been disappointing.
It's hard to beat a team, when you have no one capable of beating their man 1 v 1. And the opposition leave 1 v 1s all over the pitch, especially at the back, knowing this.
We are constantly out of position because of TAA. And when he is in position, he's always missing a tackle with a lazy leg out. And because of that Quansah and Endo are now on yellow cards.
Gosh, in many ways I'd want to start Bradley and bring TAA off the bench to deal with a tired (Martinelli) or Trossard. But I reckon Kloppo will go the other way around. TAA for 70mins. Bradley for 20.
Agreed. In an away game, he's on a yellow and unable to tackle and we're not able to press them as aggressively. Caicedo was neutered by his yellow.
Having said that, in possession today, he's been sublime.
