    Xabi Alonso

Really says a lot about Klopp's character that he chose us over other big money clubs (after suffering losing players at Dortmund). Hope Xabi's the same, especially with his Liverpool connection in mind.

Him and Gakpo are the two players I wouldn't mind being sold in the summer if it means the transfer budget increases for the new manager. Diaz has played a major role for us this season but there are better players. The dickhead father can keep doing what he's doing.

    VvD : GOAT

Almost all other CBs over the years seem to prefer facing the attacker while backtracking. His back-to-player approach is really rare. And effective. That clip is so very impressive against probably the best attacker/dribbler/scorer in the world right now. What a player.

Whoops, touched a nerve I see. You’re free to ignore my posts, of course.

    Poll Thiago Alcantara

Your problem is your incredibly narrow field of vision for ‘contribution’. As evidenced in your Klopp ‘argument’. Alonso had less than 20 assists in 200+ games for us. I guess you think he was just okay.

    Poll Thiago Alcantara

Give me a hint. Is one of them Thiago, a deep lying playmaker not expected to get a load of goals and assists, making such stats irrelevant? It’s nearly as bad as saying Diaz and Klopp’s respective contributions to LFC is comparable.

    Poll Thiago Alcantara

Exceptional player that unfortunately was made of glass. Can’t call him a disaster but unfortunately didn’t work out. A true disaster would be someone like Aquilani. Now he was made of glass AND shit.

Where does Klopp rank against all time league greats? If at all.

It’s an interesting question, because for the longest time, even after Paisley won a bunch of titles, Shankly was considered by many to be the best. Because he built the foundations for the success that came after. While Klopp didn’t exactly rebuild a Championship team, it was still a horribly...

    VvD : GOAT

Thought he was very decent, but I think all of his injuries have basically destroyed his career from both physical and mental perspective.

Okay, back on topic. Why is Diaz as bad as Klopp?

    DeAss

You compared Diaz the player to Klopp the manager. Then changed your stance to how people outside the club view him after you were destroyed. Yes, let's move on.

He either signs a contract renewal this summer or we'll have to sell him. It would be 100M down the drain if we don't.

    What’s our best 11?

Haha, yeah. @Dirty Sanchez you really think he'd make it in midfield? He just seems too switched off at times to be able to be effective in our organized pressing system when we don't have the ball.

    What’s our best 11?

It’s amazing to see Endo in all but one person’s best eleven. Couldn’t have imagined that 3-4 months ago. Well done Endo! ---------------Alisson--------------- ------Konate-----Van Dijk---------- --TAA--------Endo----------Robbo ------Szobo-------Mac Allister------...

    Liverpool, Wataru upto?

Didn't the English chop off William Wallace's head? Or was that just the movie? Surely there were tons of beheadings in England? But I'm shit at history.
  18. juniormember

    Liverpool, Wataru upto?

Yes, but the English believe in beheading via guillotine when failing to win. Good incentive as well.

    Sal-ittihad

And how many goals did he score for us over the years, instead of a one-off tournament? We should 100% have sold him to Villa after the Euros.

Baros was infuriating. He'd be in front of goal and still dribble to the corner flag, the headless chicken.

He's far better than Baros, of course.

I like him, but if some dickhead clubs want to overspend on him, a sale would be a fantastic way for Xabi to get a couple of players suitable to his style. But then, he might improve next year, and maybe a new manager/coaching team's input might do him a world of good. Would be a simple choice...

The 'added bonus' might have got him a couple of assists and wins in games he missed, and we drew. His progressive passes per game + assists + chances created are ridiculous.

    Call M. E. baby

As per the point. Nothing to do with Klopp.

    Call M. E. baby

Yup, and why did it take so much convincing for him not only to return but to gain a better position as CEO even though he knew Klopp wouldn't be there? Klopp vs Edwards has nothing to do with him leaving and not going back into any football club for the last two years. Unless he hates all...

And against a team with better passing stats, which makes our pressing more difficult. Very impressive.

Poll Who do you miss the most? (Injured players)

Chose Alison, because even though Kelleher has been exceptional, it's only a matter of time before that debate will start when he doesn't save a 1v1 that only Alison could make look so simple. VVD transfer transformed our side, Alison transfer made us complete.

I don't understand what you're trying to say here. Do we want to bring up all the players we made profit on to counter that (what's the point)? Or how much our team is worth right now if we sold each player off? Again, my point was that players are sellable assets, management teams don't tend to...
