Well rotation seems to be working great

At the risk of incurring the wrath of Raz, I can see the justification for the need to rotate through this period.

We've just come through a a busy run of games and Brighton kicks off another six games in 19 days.

It is frustrating seeing the top players sat on the bench, but it does seem that there was some medical justification for Coutinho and Firmino not starting against Everton; better that than missing four weeks with muscle strains/tears. As a fan, it does look like too much rotation at times, but we are not privvy to all the advice and data Klopp and his team are.

What I have struggled to get on board with this season though, is the amount of rotation in the back five when all were fit - particularly the different goalies for each competition. It seems ludicrous to me to name Mignolet as defacto number one, then drop him for the Champions League, I'd be seething.

But, rotation or not, what is clear is that neither Everton nor West Brom came to Anfield to win a game.

It's little wonder people are swinging golf clubs at your head. You're an illogical fool.

I love the way you spend your life on here questioning everyone's views, while offering up fuck all, other than cynicism at everyone else's views.

Tell us what you actually think Oliver, instead of just questioning why people have these viewpoints. At least counter it with "something", other than just asking them to explain their view, and then responding with a "you're thick" retort.

Didn't you spend last season telling us we didn't need more strikers/attackers? We then went and bought two, and one of them has elevated us. Go figure.

Poor the Ollie. Forever the try hard.

Of course you have to rotate. I have no issue with it. I had no issue with it before the derby. My issue with the derby was that the team selection was totally unsuited to that game. I mean, could you see any of the other big sides in the league fielding such a weakened side for their local derby? It was mental and sent out the wrong message to the players and fans. That's not even taking into account that the game was crying out for Coutinho due to how Everton set up.

I think it was Mark on page one of this thread who made a great point. We've been rotating all season, sometimes out of necessity. But Klopp went overboard for the derby and perhaps upset the apple cart. At least 3 of the front four should be playing.

Oh well, we were bound to drop points at some stage. It's what we do. It's just frustrating to see that the excellent run of form we went on now seems to be the peak, and maybe now we're reverting to type?

Unbeaten in 11 games we've scored 33 and conceded 6, that's with 3 first choice defenders out injured, not that bad really.

Yes we've drawn the last two home games, no real cause for panic is there? Long term we're heading in the right direction.

I though WBA did their job well last night, looked a good team. very well drilled, Far better than the blueshite who maybe people are giving to much emphasis to. Yes it was the derby but it's not like they played out of their skin was it? They were shit. Utter shit, The team we put out was well good enough to beat them and were very unlucky not to, We'll batter the cunts in the cup.

I think most balanced fans see it this way

I'm not sure whether rotation (or rather the way we're applying it) is the problem but it's clear that breaking down teams that come to defend and nothing else still represents a problem.

7 draws so far, is it?

We had a similar issue with draws under Rafa (for very different reasons) and everyone was all like "oh, it's fine". But it's not when they're too frequent.

Can and Gini (in particular) need shooting for their first half display, dawdling on the ball for hours. And the rest of them, including Klopp, need to buck their fucking ideas up. If we don't have a solution, we need to go out and buy one.

My view? People like you and Raz just like to whinge. Whinged last season when we didn't rotate. Whingeing this year when we do. Pointless whining.

My view on rotation? It's necessary; and I think Klopp's got it right this season.

And, no, I didn't spend last year telling you 'we didn't need more attackers'. I said that Klopp wouldn't replace Firmino (correct) and that he would buy a wide attacker (also correct). Read and learn, Mark. Read and learn.

He’s a boring weird tit

Look players need a rest occasionally but ultimately they want to play every game. These guys are professional athletes. Rotation is bulshit. The man is a fucking spoon and we will win nothing under him.

Of course and he will continue to. But he went a bit spastic just recently. The fucking players don’t need to rest.

Much logic.

The acid test will be Jan and Feb, Klopp will be judged then.

It's vital we don't lose our best player in the window

We are our own worst enemies. Beat Sevilla and we would not have our best team out against Spartak. This topic would not have existed and Klopp would have been a genius.

Firstly I'm not sure how much is/was Klopp and how much his backup team (including the medical). He clearly has a deep trust of them and they have been together many years and therfore I'd imagine it is always a backroom team decision as to who is rested and who is fit enough to start or who's figures have started to show a decline.

With regard to Everton pre-match I was in total agreement with you and was aghast at the line-up however with hindsight we can say that had Mane not had a total brain fart then we'd have gone in 2-0 up at HT and likely gone on to win it 3,4,5-0. It's very difficult to legislate for that level of incompetence. Fine margins.

I think Ox, Gomez and Robertson being fresh and fine is a Clear result of less games early in the season. So rotation works if you have a good personnel to rotate.

He's a fucking tit. Home draws against Everton and West Brom in three days show he's got no idea how to break a shit team down.

Are you OK, mate? You seem to go a bit negative lately (more than usual for you, I mean :)).

Put it this way. Yesterday morning at 5 am i went to throw myself off the roof, and it was only by chance that my son had got up for a piss that I didn't. And I've no idea why.

Shit, that's no good. Have you spoken to anyone about this?
