Spurs will most likely field a reserve team or some sort of mix, going by Pochettino's comments.

"For me, they are not kids or boys - they are players," Pochettino said. "They can show and prove that they can compete and have the quality to stay in the first team.

"It is the same to play against Gillingham at White Hart Lane and against Liverpool at Anfield.

"They need to show. We believe in them and if my team is the same as against Gillingham or some changes, they need to prove they have quality.

"You know, always the big, big players start their career and they need to make...

[Admins, you can move the Terence Kongolo discussion here from the General Football thread, if you like.]

A #1 new player to watch this week: Middlesborough's Adama Traore. He tore Arsenal apart last night, absolutely turbo-charged pace reminiscent of young Walcott, but better strength and a low center of gravity, which can be such an advantage. His passing and decision making were good too, which is no wonder since he's a product of Barcelona's La Masia academy. 20 years old, Spanish national. I'm sure the scouts at several big clubs are compiling a dossier on him as we speak. He cost...

Who are some of the players many of us wanted at LFC that are now clearly not good enough? I'll start us off with Wilfried Bony. He had one purple patch at Swansea when he looked like a genuine world-class striker. Since then, however, all we've seen is a fairly static centre-forward who depends on teammates for service, but only scores when he feels like it. I'm sure he can still produce moments of magic and his shot is one of the hardest in EPL, but he's really not a striker you would want to build the team around, so it's fair to say this is a bullet dodged.

Today's brace against Valencia moved him into the top 4 all time scorers in Europe ...

Lionel Messi has more goals (49) and more assists (29) than any other player in 2016:

    Games: 50
    Goals: 49
    Assists: 29
    Trophies: 3

To think City paid £50m for Stones, Arsenal £35m for Mustafi, Chelsea £32m for Luiz, and Man U £30m for Bailly, yet we got Matip for free, such a snip..

I love watching him play.. Solid & dependable centre back..
