I think we all know our first-choice front 3 and back five (with the only slight bit of uncertainty over Trent vs Gomez, although it looks like TAA has won that battle for now). The midfield is where it gets interesting at the moment. I assume that Gini’s “shits” are past him and won’t affect his form too much - so which 3 out of Hendo, Can, Gini, Ox, Milner and Lallana would you start vs United?

Don’t know if it has enough balance, but I went for
———Henderson———-
AOC——————Milner

The two ahead of Hendo will harass and create. I’d normally have Can ahead of Hendo for a game like this but his passing has been very good and positive as of late, so edges it for me.

I think Hendo’s slight knock rules him out and Gini’s long sojourn in the toilet is making him less likely. I think Can at the base with Milner left and AOC right is the way we’re going to go, and actually, I think that’s a good midfield to play against them.

It’ll be Can - Hendo - AOC.

Not what I’d like, but he’ll go with those in form.

I think he’s gonna attack them and go right for the win. No conservative strategy or overly defensive set-ups, he’ll put the team out to win.

Didn't Klopp say that Gini and Woodburn hadn't recovered enough fitness to start ? Or am I getting wires crossed ?

Interested to know who you would play and why.

Hendo said it was just a slight dead leg and nothing to worry about. Can't see that keeping him out unless it turned out to be much worse but we've heard nothing.

Hendo is being used very sparingly these days anyway Froggy, I suspect due to us managing his ongoing plantar fasciitis issue. I don't see him being played twice in a week regardless if truth be told. It would be interesting to see how often this has happened this season. Very rarely, I would suggest.

Besides, Gini seems to have been played almost exclusively in the big games lately. Henderson did get a knock late on around the edge of their box and was clearly struggling afterwards, so with us already being careful with him, I'm guessing he'll miss this one. Though my preferred three personally would have been Henderson, Can and Milner, for their ability to just dominate. AOC has done well in the big games too, so he will probably be the one to step in. Milner is a must on current form.

I bet you the big Moan will set up an ultra-boring counter attack team. And get ready with all the diving, dirty fouls, time-wasting and all that sort of shithouse tactics that the scums are known for.

I predict that Wijnaldum will break his away-day goalscoring jinx by bagging a hattrick against the cunts.......which would be nice.

I suspect he'll have one or two capable of brilliance in there, & then rest a few of the usual first teamers in favour of dirty bastards who'll break up our play & foul continually.

His usual anti football tactics but with even less quality in the side than usual (he'll want to rest some for Sevilla & can then claim a victory for anything other than an annihilation), basically.

As such I want Chamberlain & Hendo in there. Possibly Can, maybe Milner. The most physical players we have.

We need to move the legs as well as the ball, hence both Ox and Milner should play. They will have to Balance their midfield and MAtic/Carrick will probably be what we meet. They are a bit static so we should drag them around and Can and Hendo together will not do that.

Then I will og With Can. He is more physical than Hendo. He can kick Pogba a bit around.

I'm not knocking Henderson because he can be very good but I'm never convinced that he and Can work well together. Henderson wants to be on the ball all the time which is a great attitude but others then leave it to him and he plays very deep, slows us down and hits too many ambitious balls that coughs up possession. His tackling isn't his strongest suit either. When Hendo starts, Can is peripheral.

Can is more solid and safer in possession, normally and I prefer him in the deep-lying role, with Milner and Gini alongside him. Milner has been terrific recently, making blocks, tackling strongly and a presence all over the pitch. Gini holds onto the ball so well under pressure, keeps it simple and if he's fully fit I hope he starts.

They are a dangerous side with plenty of match winners but never look as good when they are on the back foot and we should aim to keep possession, frustrate them and not give the ball away in bad positions. We can play through them and have more than enough firepower to open up their defence and hope De Gea doesn't have yet another blinder against us

Surprised there isn't more love for Milner. He's been great lately.
I agree. He's been ace, and his tackling has been that perfect line between fair and brutal. Which is precisely what the doctor ordered against these bastards.

My choice too

Yeah, Milner deserves a start.
Oxlade appaz has 5 assists against Utd, the team he has been most productive against.
Can see him getting a goal on Saturday.

Going by survey results so far it's, Hendo, Can and Ox. Surprisingly Lallana has got no votes

I think Lallana is more useful to have on the bench given how the first 70 minutes are likely to pan out. This would also marry up with what his barber advised in terms of not allowing his hair to be exposed to the elements for more than half an hour at a time.

Milner has been our best midfielder recently. Would be criminal to leave him out. Hendo has stepped up in the last couple of games. Only thing i can't decide is whether it should be Ox or Can. Got to go with Can for the additional height and physicality (even though Ox looks strong enough himself). Nope changed my mind and going for Ox as he'll cover more ground and be a lot more direct with his forward running.

--------------Hendo--------------------
--------ox----------------milner--------

I'd like to see Can, Hendo & Ox. Ultimate troll would be an Ox wonder goal, dribbling around pogba on the way. There would be continued Arsenal Fan TV melt down
