Karius

That was a great save. Has been a big turnaround and I think having big Virgil in front has helped massively. Jury is still out for me though

I’ve always had a soft spot for Karius and really hope he maintains this current upturn in form.
Whether he becomes the keeper we need in the future, only time will tell but he’s certainly on the right path.

We do love to yo yo our opinions.

Is he one bad mistake at OT away from being sh*te again then ya?

Karius is brilliant - De Gea is shit. This is the start of my campaign against all goalkeepers other than ours. Nah - De Gea let in two goals that should have been saved today - he's rubbish.

For nearly everyone on here - YES, but for me ? - if he decides to kick the ball into our own net then I will doubt. But until then I will treat him like most other teams treat their goalkeepr - with RESPECT, and I hope in turn he thinks we are all cunts - only when he starts to believe that all LFC supporters are cunts will he become the goalkeeper we wish we always had. In the mean time - start a campaign to destory the confidence of ALL other PL goalkeers. I have just started it - De Gea is shit - my jedi powers are working,,, he conceded two goals today.

That punches stat is telling though.

He tries to get rid of threats in the area. Mignolet always preferred to stay rooted & it led to the defence fucking up & losing confidence as well as betraying a lack of control of his own area.

Funny, when he first appeared he looked like an outfield player forced to go in goal. Started to look like a real keeper now. And he's only 24, so a lot of time on his side. Playing behind VVD definitely seems to be helping him. He's clearly a better option than Ming right now, but that's not saying much.
Hugely improved over past few weeks and looks like Klopp has played it well. Is he the answer long term? Jury is still out, but he deserves to play the remainder of the season as number one. At least we no longer have to watch him through our fingers!

Mignolet is slow off his line, often indecisive, average in the air at best, horrendous kicking, all that after 5 seasons with us.

He is a good shot stopper, that's about it. But I am not even sure he is THAT good because how many times can we say those matches where the opponent have 1 shot on target and 1 goal against us is just due to bad luck?

I think Mignolet is finished with us. I never want to see him start another game for us.

What's "xG"

Expected goals. So it means De Gea was expected to concede 35 goals based on the quality of chances allowed by Man U defense, but conceded only 22. Karius and Ederson conceded roughly in line with expectation (small sample size for Loris though), Lloris, Courtois just a tad below and Cech far behind everybody.

I wonder what's Mignolet's xG, @King Binny ?

This season (excl. his last EPL appearance against Burnley), it's 20.2 (xG) vs 23 (conceded).
