Has 11 goals and 9 assists this season in the premiership which to me is a success, If Klopp does get a striker would he be as effective on the wings?
Two in two games out wide at the moment.Needs to add a few more goals to his game. He's terrific and so important to our play - so frustrating when he misses chances though. Generally ineffective out wide, so I don't want to see him shunted out there.

I think he's a perfect number 10 if we had the right kind of hardworking striker in front of him. That vid didn't really show how much he knits our front 6 together. He's a really ace player.
Getting over our heads on him slightly - yes he has scored two very important goals but like most of you - I wish he had done that in some of the January games. But also to see how great a player he is - ask yourself - who would want to buy him at 30M plus ?
Ighalo was reported to be subject to a £38mill bid, Deeney £30mill, so yes, he'd definitely be worth more than £30millGetting over our heads on him slightly - yes he has scored two very important goals but like most of you - I wish he had done that in some of the January games. 11 goals and 9 assists, based on stats alone find me another player we can get from a major club in Europe that has similar figures we can get for £30M? The only other player I can think of is Gylfi Sigurdsson and thats only because Swansea are getting relegated.Getting over our heads on him slightly - yes he has scored two very important goals but like most of you - I wish he had done that in some of the January games. Who would not buy him at 30M?? Spurs would, easy. And he's only 25.
To put things into perspective, Ox is reportedly going to cost us 35M, and he is not even half the player Bobby is.
He was excellent on Sunday but like Coutinho he needs to find a more consistent middle ground between those 5-6/10 and 9/10 performances.
If one more person calls that player Ox or The Ox they will find a severed horse's head in their bed.

Although on the other hand you could lay it off to Coutinho with a very simple ball, and then he slaloms past three defenders and spanks it into the top corner. The assist stat is a weird thing, you could dribble past 10 players and put it on a plate for a teammate. He screws up and you get nothing.
The great thing is that, even with the amount of work he puts in on the pitch, he has **touch wood** had no major injury history or concern. I'm anticipating him to have a stellar breakout 17/18 season if he stays injury-free and if we do a good job this summer adding solid depth to the front line. That should help him by keeping him fresher/sharper and also by maintaining close to the quality level of the front line.
I'm in the same camp as the few who think that we may not necessarily need a star striker coming into the club. I don't mind a 20-goal scorer of course; I just don't think we need to beat ourselves silly trying to land one or moan and mourn over one that we don't have/get. If we can reinforce the front three with a couple of guys who can offer close to the incumbent trio's talent and production level as well as their versatility, I think we're going to see exciting progress in both our individual and team performances next season.
