As an orthadox DM hes still as good as always. Its a shame we havnt played him more there, but the form of Lallana and Henderson has probably dictated that.

I know hes off in summer but for all the criticism he has had over the years hes been a good and loyal servant and im really happy his career is ending in an influential fashion for us and not back up CB.

Good on yer Wonderman.

Remember what happened last time you did this?

Gonna get busted in his next game and it's gonna take another 5 years before he hits this level.

He's had a very good season and was excellent again today.

Often seen as a 'passenger' by idiots because he doesn't score goals and they don't understand the role he plays.

He's no superstar but he's a very effective and clever player and sentiment aside I'd be more than happy to see him stay.

He's been really good lately, shows how important it is to have a squad. He's infuriating at times, but he's hugely likeable as a character around the squad and when he does the job he did today and last week, it's a good asset to have, keeps it simple and breaks up alot of the play. Well done.

Quite. "Don't understand his role" my hairy @rse. That rubbish is reminiscent of those lunatics on RAWK. Lucas is a fair to middling DM who has some good games (today's was one) and at least as many poor ones. Those at either extreme of the argument are equally guilty of provoking each other to this pointless internet squabble.

he was ace today, dropped deep and plays a sweeper when needed and was all over the ball carrier for west brom.

he was epic.

Yeah but did you know that dreamy was manager of some 5 a side pub team in Oz.
We should bow to his knowledge the massive fucking whopper.

Numerous people saying similar but you jump on the easy target?

What's the point?

He played well today.

He's also the worst player in Liverpool history to have played so many games for us, and I can't fucking wait until he fucks off out of the club.

Every player in the history of the club is the worst player to have played the amount of games they played for us.
Jamie Carragher is the worst player ever to play 737 times for us.

No it was just dreamy who thinks that we don't understand his role or whatever.

Without reading the rest of the thread, I would've thought Dreamys role was to be the village idiot of SCM. Or am I missing something here???

Credit goes where credit is due. Three assists lately, magnificent derby and missed last weekend in the first half.

I agree with every word the OP says on the matter, which isn't exactly a surprise.
We do however need pace in that position. Lucas is the only true DM in our squad and he impacts our games mainly through his excellent positioning.
MOTD highlighted that after the Everton game. Klopp needs to realise that we need that sort of player in midfield.

It's not exactly surprising that he looks competent when he's being played in his natural position.
He's got Wijnaldum and especially Can doing the running for him.

It's fate... He will stay..

Our Brazilian Trio..

Lucas Firminio and Coutinho = LFC

10 + 11 = 21
