Insignificance

What a win. We needed Three points, rolled up the sleeve and battered them. They came back remarkably after we should have burried the game and the last 10-20 mins was a pian. I remember looking at the clock, it showed 72 mins and I just wished the time was out.

But we showed strength when needed although it was unessecary to give them a lifeline. We were a bit naive in the end and still established a few attacks, threw in Studge and let them come at us.

That save by Mignolet means he has won us 4 points alone in the last two matches. Fantastic and credit to the lad!!!

Firmino, Wijnaldum and Origi showed muscles, and Coutinho was playful. Milner should have opened his account from open play today. Credit to Can , Lucas and the CD's. We knew what was coming and took it away!!!

Keep the Firmino doesn't score enough bs in here!!!!

Great win and fantastic 3 points. Our first ever league win over a Pulis team away aswell.

Brilliant getting one over the baseball wearing headwand.

He is a strange guy. But he managed to change the rythm of the game to their advantage. Credit to him for that.

It's hard to understand this team, isn't it?

WBA and Stoke away are, on paper, much more difficult than, say, Bournemouth home and away. Yet 6 points v 1.

Could be hammer blow if Chelsea do the business

Huge win.

Ming Firmino and Lucas excelled for me

Gini and Origi weren't up to much first half for me but improved in the 2nd half.

Some great hold up play by Origi and that run was superb.

Gini worked his socks off and that composure with a couple of mins left was exceptional.

Can was good but still made a lot of silly mistakes for me but he's improved a lot in the last month

I really enjoyed that game.
Ive been off us for quite a while and the last 2 matches are the first ive watched in ages and its really good to see us mature as a team.

5 wins and 3 draws since 1st March with no defeats.
We are doing all we can to get that top 4

A vital win today.

Praise again to Mignolet for a vital save.

As a big critic of Clyne I must give him some credit today. He's always going to be a bit of a timid percentage player, but at least he tried to attack more today, and even got in the area a few times.

Matip looked solid and what I also like about him is that he'll pass forwards when there's a pass on, instead of hesitating and passing back. Sad that it's something unusual in the defence, but it is.

Wijnaldum, Milner, Lovren, Lucas., Origi and Can all put in a decent shift, and Coutinho had his moments.

Firminho works like a dog. Shame he went for a couple of silly show-off moves late on when the situation demanded simple and safe, but my god he works hard.

Sad to see Sturridge so peripheral. Not really mainly his fault, but he looks slow and sluggish even when there's an attacking move on.

As for Moreno, bloody hell, there can't have been any footballer in the top flight who is so astoundingly stupid as this kid. He really is a disgrace.

I was actually thinking the same about Origi in first half. Looked like he wanted to show himself more than being efficient for the team. But great second half for the lad.

I hope it's now sunk into klopp now the importance of playing with a holding midfielder. Even one as average as Lucas made a massive difference today. I don't understand why klopp doesn't want one. The two top teams in the league play with proper DMs hence why they don't leak many goals.

That's Hendo, no?

Lets not turn this lovely win into a Lucas debate. He was good today but isnt good enough for the future.

I wanted to highlight this. For a so called attacking flair player, he doesn't half put in a shift. Never gives up even when it's not coming off for him and he's constantly challenging CB's in the air, making them think and often catching them out.

Yes it's frustrating when his flair touches don't come off, but his work rate earns him that. Im not sure he gets enough credit for his work rate at times.

Got to say that Lucas was invaluable today as well today. Yes he's not the future, but he did his job today and just gets on with it.

Sky are advertising United V City and Arsenal V Spurs as part of 'Four of the biggest Derbys in world football'

Erm what?
What are the other two? Rangers / Celtic? Not been relevant for years that one!

Derbies have bigger relevance when both teams are competing. Utd and Arsenal in those two are only spoilers in the context of this season alone.

It wasn't pretty but at this stage of stage of season we need this victory for some momentum for the last few games of the season.

Yeah and Madrid v Barca.

Theres loads of bigger derbys than Spurs v Arsenal. I doubt most of the 'world' even know thats a derby.

Does El Clasico count as a derby? I'm not sure it does.

Bigger derbies? The Bristol one. QPR v Brentford for sure
