Another thread mentions it ... so let's start a new thread ...

Rumor is we've agreed to a deal to sign him ...

It's mostly coming from the twitter world after a ridiculous '35 million quid' article earlier this week (it better not be close to that)

Graeme Kelly @GraemeKelly1
Oxlade Chamberlain lads, feel bad saying it, been told today it's done. Got no fee info like.
6:04 PM - 15 Apr 2017

Kelly was challenged based on Ox's agent (Yup, AIDS himself) - but he said he thought the same thing, and has been told it's on.

Your software seems to think that's a media link. It's not.

Take the spaces out after the www

Nah, he's not so bad. Its been mentioned before but I think it was Sunny who said that he gets decent info.
I'm not on Twitter anymore mind.

Anyhoo, if its a deal of 20ish mill I'm okay with it.

You follow him on Twitter

Even if you have edited your post.

Can he play left-back? Because now that we missed out on Kolasinac to Arsenal of all teams, we need one.

The LFC interest in Oxlade is not a secret and not new, but it seems a bit premature talking about 'done deals'

I "did" follow him, yes. Not anymore obviously. He never said we were sold to China as I can remember, only that there was interest.

Doesnt really matter who said what about a potential transfer. If its get done, it gets done.
If not, no biggie.

I edited the post to add a comment about Ox.

Is it official? Odd choice if it is..

Edit: I see the reports are saying he rejected Milan and Everton. No mention of us.

I like him but I don't £35m like him.

he's quick , strong and can play football , he looks like a klopp sort of player but im not entirely sure where he fits into the system .

he starts in place of wijnaldum or can I guess ?

He'll replace Coutinho, playing to the left of Suarez.

If fee was sensible I wouldn't be opposed. He's an actual winger who could do a job.

Career has stalled and no doubt has a point to prove.. His breakdown on the pitch at the end of Munich mauling showed a passion I rarely see from some of ours

I'm a fan but he's no Mane or Walcott for that matter and like Walcott he's injured half the time

For me he fits into that mould of a talented player who has a point to prove. A lot of gunners saying he's been one of their better performers - but i'm not sure what that is based on. I have a feeling it is based on him seeming to give a shit rather than any end product.

My biggest concern would be him leaving a team where he is a squad option and joining another team where he is a squad option, rather than a sure starter.

I do rate him though and having him added to the set of options for our front 4 or 5 with Firmino, Coutinho, Lallana, Mane, Origi, Ings, Studge is a good one, at the right price.

If Sterling is £50m, maybe £35m isn't that obscene for The Ox? Although you'd really hope for some last year of contract discounts..
