Cheers for the link Mamma, although I do have all three albums.

Dub side is my favourite though, I was very sceptical that such a project could work but it's ace.

Little details like the bong being smoked in 'Speak to me' are great.

Yes they fucking are!!

They aren't as good as they used to be, they have undergone massive personnel changes.  They are still fun live, but they used to be absolutely fantastic, I've seen them tons of times.

Cool. Maybe check out the Ticklah vs Axelrod album out. Influences of Easy Star, but original stuff. It's very good indeed.

10 ft Ganga Plant, who are kindof a JBB side project would be a logical place to go.

Midnight Landing, is one of my favourite reggae albums of all time, but their last three Midnight Landing, Bass Chalice, and Bush Rock are all fantastic modern dub and roots reggae. It's dubbier and there are far more instrumentals than JBB, but there are many of the same musicians, and accordingly a lot of influences are similar.  They also bring in guest roots musicians, for instance the meditations etc.

John Brown's Body has recently contributed a nice cover of the clash's "bankrobber"

I really like it:

Anyone here ever see or hear Tidal Waves? I've spend the last week at an amazing festival on the beach and they were astoundingly good.

It helped that I watched them while knee deep in the Indian Ocean, drink in one hand, spliff in the other.
