I'm thinking Luis Enrique, but I'm not sure how realistic that is. Glasner is a great manager, but we'd need to overhaul the entire tactical shape (tactical shape? What shape!?) of the side to fit into his preferred formation. Iraola? Is he any good? Or is it a bit of a Brighton effect? Is he benefitting from the set up of the whole club?
It's really nice to see everyone appreciate just how good Bobby was, though it's amusing how everyone just seems to pretend they always knew he was boss.
I may fire up my AI thingy again one of these days and do a historical analysis of SCM poster's opinions on Bobby. But for now, let's appreciate how fucking awesome he was, the never-good-enough flabby melt!
Nothing gets close to Suarez 13/14 - that was the best individual season I’ve ever seen, everything he touched turned to gold. I’m still bitter about not winning the league that year.
Salah for me. There are talks about Salah being the best forward in prem history and rivalling Henry and Shearer. Holding the prem scoring record adds weight to that too.
None of the others get spoken about in the same way.
Suarez and Fowler come close but Salah pips them for me
